Whitney Houston may have drowned in bathtub

Whitney Houston was reportedly discovered unresponsive in the bathtub of her room in Beverly Hilton Hotel, by a member of her entourage, who called 911.
Hotel sources tell TMZ that the police arrived at the scene within minutes and because of an unrelated fire emergency paramedics were already at the hotel; they attempted to revive the singer with CPR, but gave up their attempts at 3:55 PM and declared her dead.
Police didn't see any obvious signs of foul play, but BHPD has opened an investigation.
Police are stopping Houston family members not already at the scene when they arrived, from going inside Whitney's fourth floor hotel room.
Whitney's daughter and only child, Bobbi Kristina, 19, who arrived several hours after the singer was discovered, was stopped from entering the room, triggering a loud outburst from her during which she screamed and cursed for not being allowed to see her mother. Bobbi eventually calmed down and left.

Police have reportedly not found any illegal drugs in Whitney Houston's hotel room so far, but they have found prescription drugs and there is a possibility the singer drowned in her bathtub.
BHPD officers, who are still examining Houston's room, have also not found any evidence to suggest the singer was drinking in her room.
According to TMZ, a quick determination of the cause of Houston's death is ruled out because her body was moved out of the bathtub. (On being discovered lifeless, she was administered CPR in an attempt to revive her.)
The coroner will now make a call on how the 48-year-old singer died, after a post mortem. Houston's body has been moved from the Hotel to the mortuary.
